Ethiopia Sidomo Coffee (12 oz)
Ethiopia is known as the origin of coffee dating back to the 9th century and to this day produces some spectacular coffees.
The most famous legend tells of a goat herder named Kaldi who noticed his goats became energetic after eating red berries from a wild plant. Curious monks nearby tried the berries themselves and discovered they helped them stay awake during long prayers. From there, coffee began spreading through trade routes.
What it usually tastes like (plain English):
-
Fruity — think berries, citrus, or sometimes peach
-
Sweet — honey, brown sugar, or mild chocolate
-
Smooth but lively — not harsh, but not boring
-
Clean finish — doesn’t sit heavy in your mouth
-
Sometimes floral — but not perfume-level fancy
Body (mouthfeel):
Medium. Not watery, not thick like espresso roast.
Acidity (brightness):
Noticeable but pleasant — more “fresh fruit” than “sour.”
Overall vibe:
Balanced, slightly sweet, easy to enjoy — even for people who normally drink regular coffee.
Sidamo is known for having bright fruit notes with a smooth body and natural sweetness, often with berry, citrus, honey, and chocolate hints depending on roast and processing
